What would I need to do to sing relatively well?

Well, you can practice by yourself for the love of singing but if you want to get the right training, take singing lessons. I can name a local TV personality who could not sing but where is she now? She has already released albums. She trained and learned to hit the notes correctly.

Or join a church or a school choir like how good singers trained before they became popular.
