Im thinking about starting lessons at shorter college.
I’ve never taken vocal lessons, but I took school choir for… I think… going on 6 years….?….yeah, 6 years. We learned basic stuff: Notes Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, & high Do. We learned how to sight-read music, sing with our ears (basically pay attention and listen to the music), learn half, quarter, etc… notes, learn how to hold your notes for several measures at a time (I hope you can hold your breath!). That’s all I can think of…
I’m sure your instructor is just gonna work with you on how to improve your voice as it is.
