I don't live in NJ… but I do think I can give you a very good suggestion. What you probably need is a good voice teacher and coach. What I recommend to young people is perhaps something you have not thought of before. I recommend that you call the Community colleges or Universities in your area and ask for the Director of Music for the Vocal Department. There are always a number of music majors who are serious about teaching and coaching, as well as making extra summer money, and give their names to the director. So if you could find a music major, it would be like actually taking your lessons from the college, except not having to pay the unreal college tuition. There may be several colleges in your area. Call every one of them until you find your coach. Or you could go in this direction – Check on the classified site craigslist.org in the Services Category>Tutoring/Lessons. I have seen classifieds for voice coaches. I think it won't be hard for you to find one for the summer. Best Wishes from this music teacher in Texas )
