I would definitely go for it! I have been taking voice lessons for about 6 years now and it has helped so much! And if it doesn't improve sound right away, you improve your technique and get stronger! It will also go great on resumes! I would suggest it, good luck! :)
References :
past experience

Everyone has their limitations. The only way you will find out is to take lessons.
First, find a teacher who has shown results.
Commit yourself to 6 months. At the end of 6 months make a decision.
References :
Hey, J.J! If you really wish to improve, it's very wise to invest in vocal training. Although it does not always help every singer's voice, it generally is very effective. Vocal training also helps your general articulation and public speaking, or so I find it to.

If this is something you're serious about, then go ahead. Invest in good vocal training. Find a good, certified teacher and begin. Your teacher will help your voice in many ways and you should come out better than you went in. (Not necessarily after your first lesson of course. :])

I wish you the best of luck and urge you to keep practicing and working hard. It'll be worth it in the end. :]
