You just need to practise. A vocal coach is a good way to go though. No, you cannot change the type of voice you have. If you practise scales, arpeggios and other exercises that use your top and bottom notes daily you can improve your range by maybe 2 or even 3 notes each end, but you cannot change your natural voice type.
