Singing Lessons? I think I found a singing agent?

1

I found a singing agent online, whom I think is looking for new artists. Everything about this agent is legit. I searched everything about him online, and it matches perfectly from what I read.

I’m excited I found an agent- but my moms judgment is always right. So I was making a video of me singing and then she asked to hear it, so I let her. She told me that I have an amazing voice, and that I have potential if I still take lessons. She told me that no matter how good of a singer you are, professional or not, you still need singing lessons. She had always told me this, but I would always deny it. Now, that this agent is actually real, and legitimately looking for a talented artist, I don’t want to waste his time. Now I believed my mom when she said that everyone needs vocal lessons, but I can’t afford it.

I was thinking of asking my music teacher if I could stay after for a couple of days, and tell her that I think I found an agent, and I need a quick lesson or two for me to prepare.

Also, I used to have ENORMOUS stage fright. I wouldn’t sing in front of anyone, not even my mom- sometimes. But, I recently got over it because I though to myself, "It’s only singing, it’s normal." So now I can comfortably sing in front of others.

However, how, and when do I ask my music teacher?

How do I ask her?
When should I ask her?

Uh…..Not to bust a bubble, but are you POSITIVE its a legit agent? most agencies online want you to pay for something first…some kind of fee. if there is any kind of fee involved its a scam. That is gonna be your own judgement on asking your teacher. To be honest, he/she will probably just laugh at you. Its not that easy to just make a video of yourself and send it to some "legit" agent on the internet. Be careful with it. It sounds a bit shady. And a quick lesson is not what your mom means. You need YEARS of private lessons. And if its such a legit site, why not post the link?
