I want to sing rock, so you would think I should get a rock vocal teacher. However, I am afraid that rock vocalists will be washed up people that had high dreams for fame but did not succeed, and are less likely to have actual vocal training. I feel like its less of a risk to get Classical vocal lessons, and I bet it would translate well into rock anyway. What’s your opinion?
i think you should get classical vocal teacher because things you learn from that can be used in the rock area and even if the rock thing fails you could still turn to it instead of being nowhere at all with your voice. But it doesn’t matter what i think, only what you want to do.
