Do not complain of boredom. Please don’t bother moaning about life having no meaning. Nobody wants to hear about how you can’t figure out how to pick up some dollars. You say that nobody ever wants to hear what you have to say? Maybe it’s because you’re boring, or maybe you just say things in a boring way.
Sorry, but neither I nor other people can waste time listening to the above complaints, especially when such a simple solution applies to all of them: Learn how to play the guitar.
Of course picking the guitar will not solve every problem in your life, but it will help make any of the above less severe. If you are bored, nothing fills all those extra hours like running your fingers up and down the scales and chords. If life lacks meaning, write a funny song about it! If you need money, sing a song and pass a hat around sometime. (It’s quite exciting.) If you feel like everyone ignores you, realize that people will be much more likely to listen to you if you sing to them rather than shout at them.
You may have convinced yourself that you can’t learn to play guitar, that it’s impossible for you because you lack talent. Well, nobody is born with that talent. It’s a matter of a little bit of knowledge and a lot of practice. If you would rather idly complain about your problems, go right ahead. Nobody will want listen to you. Pick up a guitar and they will, though. It is as simple as that. You have the power to do something about this. That’s all I’m saying.
Chances are, you probably haven’t even read this far. If I were singing it to you, you would have heard every word.
