I've always sung and have taken lessons, albeit very informally and not to a high standard. I've passed my Grades 4 and 5 in ABRSM singing.
I would like to have some "proper" one to one classical vocal training, to learn how to use my voice and try to develop it so that I can sing classical material to a high standard. However a lot of people seem to think its not "worth it" because at my age I wouldn't have any chance of being a professional opera singer etc.
What do others think? I'd just like to be able to develop my voice to a high standard and then see what opportunities came my way!
Absolutely. You are just reaching the age where the voice is hitting maturity. If you enjoy singing, and want to sing better, now is as good a time as any to get started.
