I would really like to sing but I’ve always been so shy singing in front of others even my fiance hasn’t heard me sing (after 3yrs together!) I can hear pitch good enough, I can play guitar a bit. I sometimes sing when I’m on my own and know what note I’m aiming for but I usually can’t get there.
Is it possible to learn to sing, maybe have lessons with someone who understands my problem or is singing something you either can or can’t do.

For me, it depends on how you start, to be quite honest. I feel like anyone can, they just have to have the right KIND of drive in order to start something and succeed. Like, if you really want this and feel like you know where to find your flaws and what to work on, then yes, you probably can, but if you just start for the sake of you think it is a last chance for a little fun and it’s something that you have to be perfect in, then you probably won’t get very far!
I’m still in high school, but I like to work with people who have the right kind of motivation and simple outlook of, "What can I fix?" as opposed to, "Make me PERFECT!" It’s easier and much more effective and the kids I teach do much better than the perfectionists.
