Have all the famous singers known today taken vocal lessons prior them singing?

Not necessarily, there are a lot of vocalists that haven't had any real training in singing. However the vast majority of successful soloists have taken lessons at one point or another. Singing isn't that different from the other musical instruments. You might learn to play the piano by yourself, but it will take longer and you're likely to have flaws in your technique that would be easily avoided with the help of a competent teacher. Vocal lessons aren't a requirement for a career in singing, but knowing how to sing really well is. This is easier to achieve with lessons.
