Also, what are some good starter songs?????
Let’s see – you do not know how to sing, and want to teach yourself, right? Well – aim higher! Teach yourself nuclear physics! Brain surgery! Where do you think this knowledge to *teach yourself* is going to come from? Some idiot you has a page on YouTube? Those of us who have been in the business of decades will laugh until we cry, over the mis-statements and generalizations – if not outright LIES – that people put on their websites and YouTube pages. "Student of . . ." – watched them once. "Studied extensively with . . " – saw them twice. "Performed with " – either sang into their hairbrush with the CD on, or sang in the audience at a concert.
You need a fine teacher. Period. No exceptions. If they cannot hear or see you – you results. Do you ever watch those "making of" shows – where they are getting people ready for Dancing With the Stars or Biggest Loser, or Made, etc? They all are working intensively WITH A TEACHER.
Do no whine about what it costs. You want excellence, you must pay for it – and it is not cheap. I wish you luck – but you cannot get really god all by yourself. They are people who say they are *self-taught* – well, they had training to begin with, and were teaching themselves something additional. Nobody cannot teach themsleves that which they do not know at all.
