Okay, so I only sing when my parents are gone and that is only a few hours a week (2 hours maybe)
I love singing-I want to be a rock musician when I grow up. I am learning guitar, writing my own material, and since I can’t get singing lessons, I am trying to teach myself to sing better. I record my voice and see what I can improve.
I get scared my parents might come home., so I still get self conscious.
I like to sing a lot of Green Day, Courtney Love, Nirvana, and The Clash. I sing punk, so as you can imagine, I can get pretty loud.
How do I sing with confidence when alone? How can I sing when my parents are home. When they are home I would sing softer stuff, like Malibu from Hole.
Is there a way I can mentally forget about people hearing me?
Thanks!
~K.
I don’t have a car yet. I can sing in front of larger groups of people better than small groups. But, since I am alone in my room, I am trying to get more confident with my voice.
