So I just bought myself a microphone and have been singing then recording, then listening afterward, but now what I would like to do is plug my headphones in and hear myself sing immediately without needing to play anything back, so I can hear myself sing as I sing. Anyone have any advice?
What Application are you using? Whatever you;re using, you need to turn on monitoring.
Assuming you’re using GarageBand, select the track that you are recording your voice on, and click the info button at the bottom (or CMD + I). Make sure you have the “Real Instrument” tab selected, and at the bottom underneath the input source, you will see a pull down menu next to Monitor. Turn that from Off to On.
