ok, so i love to sing while i do stuff around the house, but sometimes my fiance will look at me like "oh my god, the sounds terrible!" but he won’t say anything to me. I can hit certain notes pretty well. i can sing that song by shania twain called from this moment. but when it comes to other songs like the katey perry songs, i sound really bad. i want to sing better. i’m not looking for a career from this. its just something i would like to accomplish for myself. so any advice or free lessons online would be very helpful.. thanks so much

Katey perry may not be a good style for you
Just practice your soulfege like Do Ra Me Fa So La Ti Do
Start small and grow if you know how to play the piano it will also help with developing your voice and its range.. start at middle C and go up as high as you can and keeping a good sound no flat or sharp notes ! !
and then go back down below middle C

also try learning diff languages it will expand your voice and your knowledge of music
just practice everyday ! do warm ups you can prob go to a local music store and find vocal warm ups tooo
Being in Show choir and Chamber and aswell a part of Madrigals i get alot of practice in the different areas of singing hope this helps
