I’m 18 years old, and my voice has changed a lot over the past few years. My vocal range goes from about D2 to D4. While this may be good for a bass line, I listen to stuff like Phantom of the Opera wishing I could sing along. For any experienced singers out there, would vocal lessons be able to extend my range at all, even up a few more notes?
I’m actually taking lessons right now. and i can honestly say that i only had a 2 octave range, but now it’s surely, but slowly, getting wider and wider. and now i can go lower and higher than before my lessons, but it will take some time, and even if you have the best voice teacher on earth you must remember, nothing and nobody can help you until you can help yourself. so sure, take lessons, but you should also practice by yourself. what i’m saying is, don’t only rely on the teacher to make your voice what you would like it to be.
