I always tend to try to speed up my playing or slow it down to the beat of my singing, and if I try to play slow or faster than I sing, I just get caught up and screw up lol. any tips?
learn either the lyrics or the music by heart first so you don’t have to think about it while your doing the other. like what i do is play the guitar part over and over again until i don’t even think about it, i just do it, and then add the vocals. just practice. it gets easier. it may also be that the tempo of the music doesn’t match the lyrics. just mess around with it.
