i feel like im singing through my throwt and thats a big problem…how do i learn???
Ah, you sing FROM your diaphragm, not through it. It's called diaphragmatic breathing, or, if you like plain American, good breath support.
This really is not something I can teach you online–it requires that a teacher be able to watch you and correct physical errors. Basically, this type of breathing involves not lifting the shoulders so much as letting the abdomen extend on inhalation and then contract on exhalation.
Vocalists are the one type of musician that needs a tutor for the entire career–that's because your voice sounds different to you than everyone else, coming to you as it does through your own head. You can't be an accurate judge of your own vocal tone–that's why even Pavarotti had a vocal coach until quite late in his career. Any decent teacher can coach you on breath support–and don't worry about anyone trying to make you into a kind of singer you don't want to be, you should be able to find a teacher who will work with you to get the tone and style you want–while making certain that your breathing, production and placement are technically right.
And if those technical parts aren't right, you risk injuring your vocal mechanism–
So go ask at a local college music department about good voice teachers in your area.
