How do i sing without my talking voice in it?

am i singing wrong or are u supposed to have your talking voice while singing?

Well, whenever I sing it’s natural for me to "switch" to my singing voice. I never really thought twice about it. But when I talk, my voice is not monotone, but it’s what I would call boring and low. I could help you out more if I can hear a recording of you?
