The song i’m trying to learn right now is vindicated by dashboard confessional.
The main singer sings the chorus so intense he’s practically screaming but he’s able to stay in tune… when i try to force it out it hurts my throat and doesn’t really sound right….
Any suggestions or techniques that i should practice to get this down would be greatly appreciated.

Use your Diaphram.
Thats the no. 1. piece of advice you can recieve when it comes to singing. well, that and breathing.
Most singers try to hit notes and hold their voices by singing the way that they talk.
By using your diaphram, you can hit notes louder, and longer than by not doing that.
