I have been singing my whole life. I started a uni course a couple of years ago and have been steadily loosing my confidence. Maybe I chosen the wrong course but everyone is telling me I havent. I have never struggled with confidence but for some reason I am getting marks that I have never got before. I am used to being a high achiever and am working so hard to pull myself up but the marks i am getting are seriously damaging my self esteem. Now when I think of singing it makes me anxious and stressed, whereas before it has always been my outlet.
Please help!
I feel the exact same way. I used to think I was an AMAZING singer until I got to Middle School & High School and hearing much better voices. I totally lost my confidence and now I get so embarassed when someone hear's me singing in the car! I've only recently gained a little confidence, I'd say just relax. Relaxing before you sing is probably the best answer. Just let go of everything and just focus on singing. If you love singing, it should come easier. Second, remember why you started singing. It's something you love! I've been wanting to quit choir for a while now, but everyone keeps on telling that if I love doing something, I should stick to it.
