Tips, Tricks and Tools To Help You Sing!

How can I release tension in my face when I sing?

When I sing I often have tension in one side of my face (particularly in the muscles in my cheek), but this varies depending on which vowel sound I’m singing. It makes my mouth appear lopsided. Another problem is that my lips always slant towards the right naturally. I am an incredibly keen singer and this is a hindrance to my performances, can anybody suggest a way I can release the tension in my face and lips? Thank you so much.

Tension is usually caused by lack of confidence and
uncertainty so what I sugest is enjoy what you are doing.
I don’t know what kind of music you are singing but another
sugestion is for a while sing only songs that you really like
and you will find that you are smiling and enjoying what
you are doing and the tension will automatically disappear
and your confidence and enjoyment will show in your
performance and response from your audience and a demand
for a few encores. Go out there and "Break a leg" a show
