so hes my guitar teacher but in his band hes the singer and 3 of my friends and 2 of my cousins say i am a really good singer and that i should sing for him and he knows a lot of famous recording artists and people that could make me a famous singer and i want to use my talent for the enjoyment of other people but i know that today when my teacher comes over, that i am gonna chicken out and not be able to sing a couple verses of a song for him. so how can i gain confidence and sing for him this afternoon. im 13 yrs old and i know wat song to sing but i get really nervous. any tips/suggestions/ideas? hes like 21 yrs old so i think hes cool with it. i hope…
thx so much in advance
Im sure he will compliment you, and as a trained singer when I first started compliments made me feel so good about myself. I used to be a little shy, but then I thought, If I cant sing in front of this person what makes me think I can sing in front of thousands. So I sucked it up and sang my heart out every time, and people loved it. Now 7 1/2 years later i’ve sang for crowds with up to 700 + people and i love the thrill of being on-stage. I don’t get nervous anymore, you just have to get used to it. My godmother is my voice coach and we always do breathing exercises and silly sounding vocal warm-ups before performances, it might be embarrassing at first but if anyone judges you just ignore it, they aren’t the ones singing you are. I used to and always will think singing in front of a small amount of people (1-5) people is harder than singing for a large amount( 200-700+). Just give it your all and dont be nervous, it could be for the better :] and warm-up!!!
