I have been told I am a good singer but I just want to find the courage to sing loud. I feel embarrassed because I think I sound bad when I sing loud.

be sure to record yourself and play it back. What you hear in your inner ear while you are singing is much different. Be prepared no matter how good you may be you are bound to hear "don’t quit your day job" and the person will have a look on their face like they thought that up on their own.
