ok so i wanna go solo with my acoustic guitar but my voice sounds all dull and boring i breath properly its just that my voice lacks emotion.
i cant take singing lessons because i have no time to go see a teacher. ive tried online ones but i see no improvment 
i wanna know tips or lessons that have WORKED FOR YOU!!!!
also please help with my voice having no emotion.
I will respectfully disagree with "tekko" who claims, "singing is a talent, you either have it or you don’t."
Singing is something everyone has to work at. There is no such thing as someone born to sing, or "God-given talent," of course, some may have a head start due to certain aspects of growing up, but everyone has the ability to get better at singing.
The best way to improve is to just sing more. Take every chance you have, sing along with the radio, itunes, anything! Sing whenever you can.
As for emotion, choose a song that you can relate to, with lyrics that describe you and situations you are in. Then, sing your heart out.
Remember, there is always room to learn. There is no such thing as "perfection," which is why I strongly oppose the saying "practice makes perfect."
Practice does not make perfect, practice makes progress.
And you will make progress with practice.
