Vocals is one of those things you simply can not learn online. Teaching someone to sing means that you have to be able to see that person, you have to be able to hear them and watch them.
If you are standing incorrectly a teacher will physically move you into position. If you are breathing wrong they will demonstrate how to breath – you can't learn these things through a video or recording as each person is unique and different techniques work better for different people. A *live* teacher will be able to tell which technique will work best for you.
Then there is sound. Sometimes it is next to impossible to figure out why a sound is being projected incorrectly until the teacher watches the student perform. After this a good teacher will not only be able to tell you what you are doing wrong, but also how to get the desired sound.
Save yourself a lot of wasted time and potentially bad advice and seek a local teacher.
