Well, that's the question. I want to know if you have to sing well to be able to do screamo. And, If possible, can you tell me how do screamo/hardcore? <=3
#1.do you have to sing well do to scream?
-yes and no. if you are the screamer & the singer, you would want to be able to sing well, right? like the singer of Flyleaf, and Shane Told from Silverstein, they sing well and scream well too. if you are just the screamer, than you don't have to have a great singing voice. but just because you don't have to be able to sing, it doesn't mean you don't have to be careful. screaming is very bad for your vocal cords, if you aren't properly trained.
#2.can you tell me how to do screamo?
-we can't reach you through a computer!! we can only give you tips and advice. PLEASE if you want to try screamo, don't do it alone. get a vocal coach, a perfessional one. because if you do screamo, and you think your doing it right, it's possible you aren't doing it right. you could lose your voice permanitly if you raen't properly trained. so please look into getting a vocal coach.
here are some tips that i can give you:
-drink water constantly, before, during, after screaming.
-push the air from your diaphram. using your throat kills your voice.
-seek perfessional help for your vocal cords sake!!
and to anyone out there that says screaming isn't music. you are very correct.
screaming is an ART.
it's is very beautiful when done correctly.
it expresses so much with just so little.
but it is NOT easy.
