How much does vocal lessons cast?

2

I wanna know how much vocal classes cast i thinking to start taking vocal lessons but i don’t know the cast do i have to pay by week or month please tell me the prise

It can vary greatly depending on the teacher and the location. I would say that it probably ranges around $200-$300 for several weeks of lessons (once a week) from a well-qualified voice teacher working with you and only you. It can help your voice in extraordinary ways, however, so I would definitely recommend it.

When it comes to Vocal lessons why is there a piano in use an rarely any other instruments?

3

Perhaps I’m wrong here, but when it comes to vocal teaching I usually see the vocal coaches using a piano; not all the time, but when ever an instrument is in use it’s always a piano from what I see.

Probably because piano could be seen as a "universal" instrument to compare others to.Also, it can be seen as the "cleanest" instrument. It has no special timbre/tone, and it is a plain, simple view of all the notes in the western musical scale.

Basically, it’s all FLAT OUT right there for you, not in a more complex form such as guitar, trumbet, etc.
No air is needed, and you can reference easier, as it’s always been the traditional instrument, of sorts, as mentioned before.

These are just things I came up with now, they seem pretty logical though, yes?

Singing Tips From Susan Boyle

13

The unassuming nature of Susan Boyle compared to her voice stunned everybody. But what made her to be such a good singer? What catapulted her to stardom in just a few days? Before we learn some tips from her, a little about her background will be appropriate. Born April 1, 1961 to Pete Boyle, who was himself a singer, and Bridget, a shorthand typist. So we can say her talent is partly from something in her gene.

She also took some singing lessons and attended Birmingham Acting School. Short of that, all we know is that most of the singing she did was in her local church. Although the society, especially the judges of competitions tend to look at physical appearances, Boyle was determined not to hide her talent. Equipped with such a determination, she had appeared in a number of competitions.

Her not winning in those competitions was not because she was untalented, but mostly because of the false image of what a supposed singer must look like:beautiful, gorgeous and young.

This was the same in the “Britain Has Talent” competition. As she stepped on stage, everybody was expecting a squawking voice, but were geared to reality as her voice pierced through the air. Appearance, the judges came to understand, does not a talent make. What are some tips and lessons we can take from Susan Boyle?

First of all, Susan Boyle knew she had some talents in singing. Mainly for spiritual purpose of singing to God, she took some singing courses. She is also a determined lady never to give up on pursuing what she enjoyed doing. That is why in spite of her failures in previous competitions, she still entered “Britain Has Talent”, where her star really shined.

Her training showed off as she hit high notes continuously without losing her breathe or the quality of her voice. This is where most singers fail. Reaching high tones is more of a psychological trick than technique. It could be illustrated this way:

Moving a car forward requires putting it in gear 1 after starting it. But in order to continue moving steadily and smoothly one needs to almost immediately put it in gear 2, then 3 and so forth. In reaching high tone, say C, what one needs to do is reach a slightly higher tone than C. Then almost automatically, all by itself the tone will come to C.

In other words, hitting exact tone at once is disastrous, a little higher tone should be reached first. Then this way, the tone needed will be struck, almost by itself.

Another thing we need to discuss is about vocal choirds. Vocal chords are the instrumental strings of the voice. It could be illustrated with piano strings. The lower notes are longer and thicker, while the higher notes are shorter and thinner. Applying this to singing, the vocal chords need to be shortened when singing higher notes in order for the sound to come out well.

All these Susan Boyle mastered because she did not give up on her dream of becoming a good singer. She as well took steps to singing mastery by taking lessons in singing. But most important, she pushed herself to success by undauntedly stepping forward. Now she is a star, known, viewed and heard by millions.

If you think you can´t take a singing lesson because of cost or master the art of singing, you´re wrong. In my signature is the review of a resource that might make you sing like Susan Boyle in no time and it is affordable

Would it be a bad idea to take vocal lessons at age 18?

9

It’s almost my birthday, it’s on the 28th, and I’m wondering if I can take vocal lessons at that age despite not having much of vocal training before. Basically the question here is, is it ever too late to learn how to sing?

Well it’s not to late if you want singing to be just a hobbie or something you do on the weekends. BUT if you want singing to be a main career then I would say it may be a little late! But this is your decision so good luck and hope I helped! Oh and never forget "It’s never to late to pursuit your dreams!"

I love rapping, and i’ve got great lyrics the only problem is my voice sounds weird well atleast to me, can a vocal teacher or coach or whatever help me improve my voice and become better at rapping?

get back to me
so if i want my voice to be lower that can be achieved through vocal lessons?

Yes, a vocal teacher will help :) And the vocal teacher/coach can definitely teach you to deliver a deeper/lower sound if you want to (and breathing, delivery, techinques, tricks , etc).

Just a demonstration of my lowest notes. I can’t usually go this low but for some reason after warming up I was able to go to C1. It IS vocal fry but still an audible low note. C1-C6 = 5 octave range.

Free Singing Voice Lessons Number 2

Correct Chin Placement

Correct Chin Placement

What are pure vowels? Simply stated a pure vowel is one that is produced in a way that the voice can maintain cord closure or “adduction” during phonation and can easily move between resonances from lowest note to the highest tone with little difficulty.

The Ah vowel. When vocalizing this vowel sound you want to create continuous compressions in the vocal cabinet and pharyngeal cavity through “coloring” the vowel as you ascend the scale or vocal phrase higher. Begin at a lower tone in your lowest notes pronouncing the “Ah” as in “father”.

As you ascend the scale or vocal phrase especially when approaching the “bridges” or Passagio, you want to go from an “Ah” in “Father” to an “Uh” as in “Other”. As you perform the vowel in this way, a relaxing of the larynx is maintained and the tone sounds transparent as you go higher. If you were to stay with the “Ah” as in Father on the way up, you would experience both tension and vocal cord disconnect.

In addition to the vowel shift, especially as you ascend the scale or phrase, you want to be aware of the shape of your lips, the conjecture of your head in relation to your spinal position and the position of the jaw and shoulders.

Correct Chin Placement You want your shoulders to be as relaxed as possible, not slouched, but relaxed in a natural position of rest. Imagine you’re sitting in a chair with a small child in your arms gently pulling your hands into a “cradled” position. This is how your shoulders should feel during exercise and performance as well.

Your lips should be in a semi-pursed position, in other words, slightly open as if you were about to speak the word “what”. Your head should feel as if it were “floating” or “feather light” resting gently on top of your spine. Your spine should be in a non-rigid position in line with your shoulder position and head. Your chin should be in a level position in line with your shoulders and the jaw should remain relaxed (see illustrations for proper chin placement).

Can you become a good singer with just vocal lessons?

2

i play some guitar, and write songs also, but i want to be able sing my own songs but my singing voice isnt that good, if i take vocal lesson can i improve my voice so that i sound good and people will be able to bare my singing?

Yes. vocal lessons teach you techniques that can improve your vocal quality. Talent = hard work + good technique + "heart". The "heart" part is the most difficult to teach – you have to really believe what you’re singing.

No one is born a great singer. Singing seems to come "naturally" to some people, but really those people have had experiences in their lives that have formed their talent. Singing is as much a craft as it is an art. There is a certain set of skills that you need to become a great singer, and these skills CAN be taught.

If you’re really serious about singing, join a good choir of some kind – school, church, community, whatever. You’ll have the chance to practice and hone your skills regularly, and you’ll learn exercises that target certain skills. But voice lessons will help, too. The Barbershop Harmony Society (barbershop.org) is where I got my start @ 13 yrs.

Don’t let anyone tell you that good singing can’t be learned.
Good luck,
cd
