I've been doing theatre since I was in grade three, and I know I wanna pursue theatre in my post-secondary education. However what I really wanna do is musical theatre, but I have no experience with singing. I have lots of experience with music, however. But is a Musical Theatre course still a good thing for me to do?
I'd email the professor directly and ask him/her just what the course will entail. Sometimes course descriptions or titles can be deceiving. Once I took a course called "Performance Live," where the course description made it sound like a course in the recording of Live Performance, but in reality we had to sit through these horrible concerts, do mundane readings and responses and weekly journals.
Ask how hands on it is. Ask if you'll be singing at all, and whether or not you must audition to get into the class. Hope that helped!
